OUR PROJECTS
Regenerative solutions in refugee camps – in collaboration with local partners.
Philosophy & Partnership
Generation Restoration works in partnership – not on a project-by-project basis. We believe that sustainable change can only take root where trust, personal responsibility, and local expertise are at the core.
We support local organizations in implementing and further developing regenerative solutions – tailored to their specific circumstances, resources, and goals. Our partners are not “beneficiaries,” but rather the architects of their own future.
We see ourselves as bridge-builders, connecting projects with funding, expertise, networks, and visibility.
In doing so, we adhere to clear principles:
- Collaboration as equals
- Transparency in communication and funding
- A long-term perspective rather than short-term interventions
- Strengthening local structures
For us, regeneration means not only ecological restoration, but also social dignity and economic stability.
Our regenerative projects in the humanitarian sector
Humanitarian contexts are often characterized by long-term uncertainty, environmental degradation, and economic dependence. At the same time, it is precisely in these places that initiatives emerge which are breaking new ground, driven by people who want to transform their own living conditions. Our projects grow out of such local movements.
We collaborate with grassroots organizations that are already taking responsibility in refugee camps and implementing regenerative solutions in practice. For us, a partnership begins where certain attitudes and goals are already evident.
We partner with initiatives that:
- Prioritize regeneration
They view ecological restoration as the foundation for stability, food security, and future prospects. - Think in permacultural and systemic terms
They work with holistic approaches that connect soil, water, biodiversity, and social structures. - Practice participation
Projects are developed collaboratively. Knowledge is shared. Decisions are made locally. - Are led by refugees themselves or significantly shaped by them
The driving force comes from the communities themselves. Change arises from within, not from without. - Striving for long-term economic self-sufficiency
These organizations do not want to remain permanently dependent on donations. They develop social business models and regenerative value chains to gradually build financial independence.
Our role is to strengthen these initiatives – through partnerships, funding, networking, and institutional development. This gives rise to projects that combine humanitarian work with ecological and economic regeneration. Not as a short-term intervention, but as a long-term approach.
The 5 R’s of Restoration
by Generation Restoration
The 5 Rs of Restoration offer a values-based approach to building and nurturing partnerships – rooted in reciprocity, shared growth, and mutual trust. They represent a regenerative alternative to extractive financial models such as the “5 Cs of Credit” and focus on what truly matters: empowering people and restoring ecosystems.
